Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in Ç.Ü.Z.F Post Harvest Physiology Laboratory and Warehouses of the Horticulture Department. Ripelock, a new modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) system of Cavendish banana cultivar and different doses of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) (100 ppb, 200 ppb, 800 ppb) were investigated in the master thesis. The effects of the treatments on the fruit quality criteria during the storage and shelf life periods of the Dwarf Cavendish banana cultivar were evaluated comparatively. The fruits were divided into two groups after the application. The first group of fruits were kept in shelf conditions for 7 days at 20 °C, the other group of fruits were stored for 10 days and stored at 10 °C for 7 days at 85-90% relative humidity. Weight loss (%), decay, change in fruit shell color (ho), appearance (1-5 scale), respiration rate (ml CO2 kg -1 h -1 L), ethylene production (µl / kg.sa), fruit flesh firmness (N) and peel firmness (N), soluble solid content (%), titratable acidity (%), changes of fruit sugar content (glucose, mannose, fructose), physical chemical and biochemical analyzes were investigated. As a result of comparison of 1-MCP (100ppb, 200ppb, 800ppb) treatments in different doses in MAP, 1-MCP 800 ppb treatment was affected positively to fruit quality parameters and no decay losses. It has been observed that 1-MCP 800 ppb and 1-MCP 200 ppb applications give more successful results compared to other applications.
