Özet (EN)

It is not possible to investigate the behavior issues that existed during childhood and youth from only one aspect. Investigating behavior patterns from various perspectives and discussing the necessary pre-adulthood education from individual and communal aspects are considered to be important in order to highlight the benefits of physical education and the contributions of extracurricular activities. The purpose of this research is to compare the behavior patterns of male and female students who do team sports as extracurricular activity (DDEOTSY) such as volleyball, basketball, handball, football and whose teams have proven success in championship competitions with students who don?t do sports (SYM).The population of this research consists of 2032 high school students and the sample consists of 479 voluntary students (266 DDEOTSY and 213 SYM adolescents).Personal Information Form (KBF), YSR/11-18 Youth Self Reported and TRF/6-18 Techer Report Form are used as the data gathering technique. For descriptive data analysis frequency (f) and percent (%), for the investigation of dependent variable differences among groups; samples t test, and for correlation analysis Pearson Correlation test are used. In accordance with SPSS 16 statistically results of study was to SYM groups experienced Anxious/ Depressed, Thought Problems and were found in favor of DDEOTSY?s Total Competence. SYM girl?s behavior patterns were found adverse efficacy for the gender factor Findings reveal that physical education teachers don?t know their audience well enough and consider DDEOTSYs to have more positive behavior patterns. Besides, it is found that YSR/11-18 findings have no relationship with the TRF/6-18 findings. The study reveals that doing sports as extracurricular activity during adolescence has a more positive affect on behavior patterns than not doing sports. It is also found that females who don?t do sports are under risk. Finally, the study shows that physical education teachers are not sufficient enough to evaluate the behaviors of DDEOTSY and SYM adolescents.Key Words: Behavior Patterns, Extracurricular Activity, Team Sports, Adolescent
