Spherical hydrokinetic turbines are a relatively new technology with the ability to generate energy using fluid motion. The efficiency of these turbines depends greatly on their design. To maximize the performance of turbines, increase their efficiency and ensure environmental sustainability, their designs need to be optimized using simulation techniques. The scope of the thesis aims to increase energy production and improve efficiency by optimizing the design and operating parameters of hydrokinetic turbines. The turbine's geometry, airfoil, number of blades, and other design factors can greatly affect overall performance. Therefore, optimization algorithms and techniques should be used to determine the optimal design parameters. During optimization, the parameters of the spherical hydrokinetic turbine designed using the Computational Fluid Dynamics technique were optimized using certain algorithms. The simulations were used to evaluate energy production and efficiency. In this way, the theoretical performance of the turbines was determined in advance and the necessary optimizations were made. As a result of the research, the turbine model with the best variation among the available parameters was determined.
