Evaluation of supporting and training courses regarding opinions of students

This study was completed by aiming to evaluate Supporting and Training Courses considering the student opinions. The investigation was conducted using phenomenological pattern, one of the quantitative investigation methods. Data was collected after the completion of 2016-2017 academic year by half-constructed interview forms. The study group of investigation consist of 10 males and 10 females total 20 graduate students who attended Supporting and Training Courses at Kozaklı Public Education Center in Kozaklı province of Nevsehir between the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method. In findings of the investigation; the student opinions are generally positive about courses but there are negative opinions about some problems due to newly conducted method. In results of the investigation, it was revealed that the most important reasons why these courses chosen by the students are the preparation for the university exam, free admission to the courses, and offered courses located within the neighborhood. Most of the students have positive opinions about the manager and teachers. Even though the students think that the number of students who attended the courses being less is a big advantage, they criticize the course starting and finishing hours and less course hours. It is also concluded from the results that the quality of learning outcome tests and practice tests seems good but the number of these tests is less. It is seen that these courses increase the academic achievements and motivations, and help the socialization of the students with their planned and organized studying ability. To increase and improve the quality of the courses, suggestions from the students are also significant part of the results. It is believed that the results of this study be guidance firstly to Ministry of National Education then to all shareholders related with these courses.
