Abstract (EN)
There has been serious shift on the perspective of tourism with the globalization affect through the World. People have started to visit destinations which are rich in means of varied alternative tourism activities. Consequently, such places have risen in importance and demand. The management practices of these places have also gone serious change with the rise in demand. This has led to a management understanding in which stakeholder relationships are effective. The main purpose of this research is to determine the relationships among the tourism stakeholders in the context of effective management. The research was carried out in two prominent tourism destination cities (Burdur and Isparta) in Göller Yöresi (region of lakes). The research was carried out in qualitative case study methodology. Data were collected through semi-structured interview form, participant observation, written and visual documents related to the particular region and analyzed through inductive content analysis. Findings of the study show that though the region has a lot of tourism advantages, these advantages are not utilized adequately. Besides, it is argued that the region is unable to provide effective destination management due to the deficiencies on the sub and super structure of tourism, promotion and marketing, public opinion, investment and projects, relationship of the stakeholders. Therefore, effective destination management and higher level relationships should be ensured in the region.
