Determination of: Anthomyiidae (Diptera) species, their predator and parasitoid in vegetable areas of in eastern mediterranean region

This study was conducted to determine the species of Anthomyiidae (Diptera) family and its parasitoit and predators in Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye and Hatay provinces in the eastern Mediterranean region of Turkey in 2013. Totally 202 samples were collected from the pest's hosts in the vegetable areas, especially from Crucifera (Cabbage), Cucurbitaceae (Cucumber), Alliaceae (Onion), Fabaceae (Legumes) and Solanoceae (Eggplant) families. Samplings were carried out every 15 days in the low population period of the pest, between the July and August, and one time in each week in the rest of months. In the study, although neither the predator nor parasitoit was not determined, 6 species belonging the Anthomyiidae family: Adia cinerella (Fallen, 1825), Anthomyia confusanea (Michelsen, 1985), Anthomyia pluvialis (Linnaeus, 1758), Delia platura (Meigen, 1826) Pegomya hyoscyami (Panzer, 1809), Phorbia fumigata (Meigen, 1826) were determined. Among these species, Adia cinerella (Fallen, 1825), Anthomyia confusanea (Michelsen, 1985) and Phorbia fumigata (Meigen, 1826) were determined as a first report for Turkey
