The COVID-19 epidemic has become a major health concern for people all around the world, resulting in a staggering death toll of nearly 15 million individuals worldwide. Individuals afflicted with intricate and persistent illnesses typically exhibit more severe symptoms of COVID-19 in comparison to the broader populace. More and more research suggests that COVID-19 poses a greater threat to individuals with Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). However, further research is needed to explain the fundamental processes at play. Our study aims to use computational methods to identify molecular pathways shared in the pathogenesis of COVID, breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (ccRCC), all of which may increase the impact of COVID-19. The present study conducted a differential expression analysis (DEG) by analyzing public datasets (GSE164805, GSE139038, GSE45498, and GSE105261) that were obtained from the GEO database. The DEGs that were identified were subjected to further analysis in order to identify common DEGs, pathways, hub genes, transcription factors (TFs), and microRNAs (miRNAs). The present investigation has successfully identified hub genes, miRNAs, and TFs that are commonly expressed in mild and severe COVID-19-TNBC patients, mild and severe COVID-19-breast cancer patients and mild and severe COVID-19-ccRCC patients. Additionally, shared mechanisms have been identified in these patient groups. It was also observed that there exist discernible dissimilarities in potential biomarkers, mechanisms, Differences in COVID-19 miRNAs and TFs between individuals with TNBC, breast cancer and ccRCC with moderate and severe disease. This study represents the inaugural investigation into the potential commonalities in mechanisms, biomarkers, transcription factors (TFs), and microRNAs (miRNAs) between patients with COVID-19 and those with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and breast cancer. Furthermore, between COVID-19 individuals and those who have ccRCC. Taking into mind the severity of the COVID-19 sickness, the results of our research may provide light on the best ways to care for patients with TNBC, breast cancer or ccRCC who are also infected with the virus.
