Abstract (EN)

While being an important and determinant fact in modern era, it is highly critical to control and manage stress in order to increase the quality of education as teachers are heavily exposed within organization grounds. The First Section of this study includes of theoretical analysis and literature review about stress. Second Section discusses the organizational differences between private and public schools and Third Section summarizes previous the studies on this topic. The Final Section consists of field analysis. The purpose of this study is to compare the stress level of private and public school teachers that are exposed during pursuing their profession, to evaluate the relationship of sub-factors of work stress among one another and with the demographical characteristics of teachers. Within the field analysis, a stress measurement scale consisting of social-demographical questions was applied to the selected sample of teachers. The sample of teachers used in this study was selected among teachers working in two private and one public school located in Bağcılar/Istanbul district. The results of the field analysis indicates that there does not exist a significant difference between the stress levels private and public school teachers in Bağcılar district working with primary and secondary grades.
