At state and foundation universities students are analysed with the method of questionnaire and evaluated Marmara and Beykent Universities

In this study the comparison of the expectations of students (at two universities in Turkey, a state university, Marmara, a foundation university, Beykent) about European Union and the education system in Turkey is analysed.The study is composed of three parts. In the first part, EU educattion programmes are analysed under the main headings of EU and education policies, Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci, Youth for Europe and Tempus.In the second part the development in the education system and ?improvement reports? are discussed and in the third part which is the last part, comparison of the expectations of the students about EU and Education System in Turkey (at state and foundation universities) is analysed with the method of questionnaire and evaluated. In this part the participation policies of the two mentioned universities in EU education programmes is also analysed.In the conclusion part the general analysis of the findings is made and various points of view and suggestions are put forward.
