Examination of physical activity levels of academicians in sports sciences in state and foundation universities

Objective: The aim of this thesis, the state and private universities in Turkey are involved in sports science academics comparison is made with data that is to examine the physical activity levels and achieve. Although there are studies investigating the time spent by academicians on physical activity in the literature, there is no comparison study in this area based on state and foundation universities. This aspect of the study is thought to be unique. The aim of this study is to be the source of the studies that will be done after him. Materials and Methods: In the first stage, the conceptual framework of the thesis has been presented and a literature review of the thesis has been made. In the second stage, survey technique was used as data collection tool. In the study, IPAQ "International Physical Activity Questionnaire" developed for physical activity was used. Firstly, "Personal Information Form" and "International Physical Activity Questionnaire" were applied to the academicians. In the third step, the data from the questionnaires were analyzed in the SPSS program. In the fourth stage, the results of the analyzes are discussed. Findings and Results: In both universities where the physical activity levels of academicians were examined, it was determined that the physical activity values of the majority of the participants were above the given reference values, and in addition, the physical activity averages of female academicians were lower than male academicians.
