Family and marriage in post-revolutionary Iranian cinema

Iranıan cinema has managed to becoma one of the rising stars of the cinema sector in terms of its place in the domesticand foreign markets. Producers who support the manifestation of this success with the awards it has received in the domestic market create a hearfelt bond with the audience by using natural and sincere images in their films. Directors occasionally criticize the events and phonomena in their productions and occasionally praise them to meet the audience on an exotic and realistic basisi. Since the birth of cinema in Iran, many political, social and economic crises have taken place. These problems were reflected to the cinema sector and manifested itself as pressure and censorship. Although the negative conditions prevailed, the director did not hesitate to criticize the goverment and social phenomena. The issue of family and marriage, which will be discussed in the context of the research, is seen as very important in the cinema. In this study, the factors that cause the formation of a new phenomenon of marriage and family and the change of the bond of family which gets weeker or stronger, reasons of divorces enhancement and the factors that cause of White marriage which represents the marriages without contract are investigated on the cinema sector.
