Plasma corin levels in diastolik heart failure

ABSTRACT PLASMA CORIN LEVELS IN DIASTOLIK HEART FAILURE It is known that in half of the patients that are diagnosed with HF, left ventricles fraction is normal or almost normal. Although the rates of mortality and morbidty in these patients are high, it isn't indicated that any pharmacological cure has changed the process of the disease. Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction is a serious heart problem that has an important morbidity and mortality. Owing to the developed technology and scientific studies, molecular diagnostic systems have developed so much. In the patients with HF and whose ejection fraction is >%50, Pro-BNP level is high but plasma corin level is low, irrelevant from the symptoms. But according to our study, in the patients especially with preserved symptomatic ejection fraction, irrelevant from age, sex and BMI, it is found out that plasma corin level is lower. Therefore we concluded that in the patients with heart failure with ejection fraction, plasma corin can be used as a biomarker.
