Abstract (EN)

This study examines the effect of digital literacy on the perception of system usability and investigates the mediating role of computational thinking skills in this relationship. With the growing prevalence of online learning platforms, users' digital literacy has become a critical factor in effectively interacting with such systems. In addition, computational thinking skills which include problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and data-driven approaches are considered important variables influencing users' perceptions of system usability. The research was conducted with a sample of Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) users. Participants' levels of digital literacy, system usability perception, and computational thinking skills were analyzed using quantitative methods. Specifically, the study tested whether computational thinking skills mediate the relationship between digital literacy and perceived system usability. The findings revealed that digital literacy has a significant positive effect on system usability perception. Moreover, computational thinking skills were found to play a partial mediating role in this relationship. The results offer recommendations to enhance the effective use of online learning platforms and contribute to both the fields of educational technology and user-centered system design.
