Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of digital games on sixth grade students' academic achievements in integers in mathematics class and their attitudes towards mathematics class. In the research, the effects of digital games in education were evaluated by comparing theexperimental and control groups. While the experimental group was given mathematics lessons supported by digitalgames, the control group was taught with traditional teaching methods. The research group of this study consisted of 6th grade students of a secondary school in Elazığ. In the research group, the experimentalgroup consists of 29 people and the control group consists of 31 people. In this study, which was conducted to examine the effects of digital games on sixth grade students' academic achievements in the subject of integers in the mathematics course and their attitudes towards the mathematics course, achievement test and attitude survey were used as pre-test and post-test as data collection tools. The 6th grade mathematics achievement test prepared by the General Directorateof Measurement, Evaluation and Examination Services of the Ministry of National Education was used as the achievement test. 'Attitude Scale Towards Mathematics Lesson' developed by Önal (2013) was also used as an attitude survey. The data obtained from these measurement tools were evaluated using statistical analysis methods. By analyzing the data collection tools, it was investigated whether there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the groups as a result of statistical calculations in terms of achievement and attitudes. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that the mathematics achievement and attitude of the experimental group taught with digital games increased positively compared to the mathematics success and attitude of the control group taught with traditional teaching methods. Based on the research results, various suggestions have been made to studies and researchers regardingmovement. Key Words: Digital Game, Success, Attitude
