Abstract (EN)

The productivity of the mind brings along the production of knowledge with language. Developing within the cultural evolution, human beings reveal the problems and issues of life to language by producing knowledge. During the pre-classical period, formations such as settling down, agriculture, animal husbandry, writing, urbanization, and administrative institutions led to the development of mental activities such as seeking solutions to emerging problems. Since this period, science and technology started to develop in a simple sense. In later periods, the ideas that constitute the understanding of knowledge emerge with different definitions and in different pursuits. In this process, the opinions of philosophers are guiding in order to understand the production and shaping of knowledge. In this context, the subject of this study is to examine the contributions of digitalization to knowledge production and to evaluate these contributions within the framework of postmodernist views. The production of knowledge in the age of communication and the role and effects of technology in this process are evaluated. Internet, social media, smart devices, artificial intelligence and other communication technologies change the process of knowledge production and the effects of this change on areas such as society, culture, economy and education are discussed.
