Abstract (EN)

Digitalization can be defined as the process of transferring information to a digital environment so that it can be read with a technological device such as a smartphone, computer or tablet, edited in technological environments and included in workflows. Digital Economy, on the other hand, is called the activities that have emerged from the combination of economy and digital transactions and are carried out with advanced and rapidly developing technology as well as traditional methods. Behavioral economics, a branch of science that examines the effects of human behavior on economic decisions, argues that technology is an important factor in decision-making processes as people increase their interaction on digital platforms, and examines the impact of technological developments brought about by digitalization on the Turkish economy. In this framework, the aim of this thesis is; To analyze the economic effects of digitalization in Turkey, to examine the elements of the digitalized economy, business models and activities carried out within the scope of the digital economy, and to examine the adaptation of individuals to digitalization processes, risk perceptions, attitudes and behaviors towards technology, based on human behaviors that classical economic models are inadequate to explain. and to examine and evaluate biases in decision-making processes.
