Özet (EN)

In this thesis, the testing of novel derivatives of previously reported complexes, such β- diketonate, as precursors. The first stage of this project includes the synthesis of acetylacetonate derivatives, and their copper(I), (II), palladium(II), and Rhodium(I) complexes. FT-IR, 1H , 13C and 19F NMR spectroscopic methods and elemental analysis were used the to determine their structures. In the second stage of the study, the solubility of the precursors in supercritical carbon dioxide at a temperature of 90°C and a pressure of 2200 psi was examined. Then the precursors were used in the deposition of the nanoparticle metals on carbon nanotubes in a supercritical carbon dioxide medium using a hydrogen reduction method. The nanoparticles that had been deposited on the surfaces of the multi-walled nanotubes were examined by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In the final stage of the project, the catalytic activities of the nanotube-supported metal catalysts were tested in hydrogenation reactions using styrene as a model compound. The hydrogenation reactions were carried out at temperatures of 90°C and pressure of 2200psi. Each reaction was allowed to proceed for 20, 40, 60, 80, 90, 120, and 150 minutes. The conversion rate of these reactions was determined by gas chromatography.
