Teaching concepts through educational games in courses of religious culture and knowledge of ethics

The aim of this research is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the use of educational play method in the teaching of concepts in courses of religious culture and knowledge of ethics. It is also the purpose of the study to determine the qualifications of teachers who follow this method, the difficulties they encounter when using games in lessons, how they overcome the difficulties and the contribution to value education. The data of the research designed as qualitative are obtained through interviews with 24 religious culture and ethics teachers who work in Eyüp, İstanbul and who prefer educational play method in the teaching of concepts. In the selection of the study group, the purpose sampling was preferred based on the principle of easy accessibility. The semi-structured interview form is used to collect data. As for the analysis of the data, the methods of description, interpretation and content analysis are used. During research, it has been seen that a great majority of teachers who use educational play method are following the studies related to the subject rofess opening to develop themselves in rofessional sense. It has been shown that the use of educational games to teach the concepts results in highly efficient consequences.
