Abstract (EN)

Rough road conditions and acceleration of the vehicle exposed to vertical and horizontal dynamic loads. In this case, it is necessary to take additional measures to decrease these dynamic loads. The dynamic loads can be decreased by decreasing the number of stacking on the vehicle but this also increases the cost of transport. This problem especially occurs in the thin walled shell structures which are used for liquid cargo transportation. Although, these polymer boxes statically can store more number of stacking, they are destroyed easily because of the temperature and the dynamic loads during the travel and this cause serious financial loses. Dynamic loads causes the fracture of the containers at cold chain (-20°C) food transportation. Low temperature increases fragility of polypropylene storage containers. Besides, some additives cannot be used for increasing the fracture strength of the polypropylene storage container if it carries food. In fact, many of these additives contain ingredients that pose a threat to human health. This is particularly required to take some special precaution for the transport of foodstuffs. This means the increase of transportation costs. In this study, the strength analysis of polypropylene food storage boxes in uneven road conditions is performed with the help of experimental and computer simulations (Abaqus software) and the risk value is determined for the mentioned acceleration and loading conditions.
