The purpose of the study on the life and theaters of Dinçer Sümer is to analyze the author's theaters and their place in Turkish theater. Dinçer Sümer, one of the cornerstones of the transition from classical to modern theater in Turkish theater, is an intellectual writer who deals with the problems of both the individual and the society in his theaters and produces ideas for the solution of these problems. While doing these ones, he is one of the theatrical actors who has developed a unique style that tries new and different techniques to development of the theater he gave his whole life. In this thesis, Dinçer Sümer's fourteen theaters, which have not been studied before, are analyzed in terms of structure and content by analytical method. In the first part of the study, which consists of two chapters, the life and theater of the author are discussed based on the works and in the second part, the theaters of the author are examined in terms of structure, theme and style. In the conclusion part, the common and different aspects of Dinçer Sümer's theaters are tried to be determined.
