Relationship between religiousness and responsibility and self-regulation: Çukurova University example

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between universty student's religiousness, universty student's responsibility and universty student's self-regulation. The sample of the study came into existence of 453 people who were educated in faculties of Çukurova University in 2017-2018 academic year and these people selected by basic random method. The given demographic information form was collected with İnternal Religious Motivation Scale, Responsibility, Emotion and Behavior Scale, Perceived Self-Regulation Scale. In this study, the religious orientations of the participants's level of responsibility and level of self -regulation were analyzed. In addition to the responsibility between the participants and demographic variables were analyzed. Furthermore the relationship between apperance of religious and age, gender, faculty, number of siblings, sibling rank and income level were researched. According to the results of the research, no significant difference was found between the participants's faculty and responsibility levels of the participants. Also, no significant relationship was not determined between the variables except gender and level of responsibility and level of self-regulation. In addition to this, it was seen that female scored higher, from the point of religiousness, sense of responsibility and level og self relugation compared to male. It was concluded that religiousness level significant different according to the number of siblings and sibling rank. The responsibility level of the median children is high and the responsibility level of the single children is low. It was found that there were significant positive relationship between the scales used in three situations. Keywords: Religiousness, Responsibility, Self-Regulation, Çukurova University.
