Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to analyze the issue of abortion in Christianity based on the example of the Catholic Church and to present the comments and discussions in the context of the subject. In the first chapter, some concepts within the scope of the study have been defined and in general, the legal and moral dimensions of the abortion issue are discussed. In addition, in this chapter, an overview of Judaism, Christianity and Islam religions and some other religions and traditions is shown. In the second chapter, the main subject of the study was the view of abortion in the context of Catholic Church teachings, examples and interpretations from the Bible. However, in some countries where Catholic influence occurs, abortion practices and sanctions have been introduced. Finally, the other Christian Churches' views on abortion were also included comparatively. Keywords: Abortion, Miscarriage, Fetus, Contraception, Catholic Church
