The abuse of diplomatic priviliges and immunity

Diplomatic agents can abuse their diplomatic privileges and immunities. As a result of these abuses, basic human rights are violated. Preventive, punitive and compensatory meauseres can not taken against these violations within international law system. This is a contradiction for international law, which prioritizes human rights on the one hand and remains silent on their violations on the other. In order to eliminate these contradictions, diplomatic privileges and immunities should be limited to official duties compatible basic human rights in a new arrangement.
