Abstract (EN)
The definition and historical process of criticism are, first of all, discussed in a conceptual framework, and then some philosophical, socio-cultural, scientific, and historical reasons that reveal criticism in the modern sense are emphasized in this study. Furthermore, the issue of whether there is poetry criticism during the period of Divan literature is addressed with its main lines. Thus, after setting up a theoretical basis for our thesis, we found the opportunity to better convey the reflection of the mentality change in the background of the criticism of Divan literature, which has always been in a controversial position in modern Turkish literature since the Tanzimat. In the second part of our study, we tried to analyze the criticisms of Divan literature from the Tanzimat to the Second Constitutional Monarchy in light of the political and cultural changes experienced as a result of the disintegration of the absolute world and its effect on the Ottoman Empire. The third part covers the criticism of Divan literature from 1908 to 1950. In this period, the subject of how Divan literature was marginalized through some events and phenomena such as the disintegration of the absolute world perception, the disintegration of the absolute forms of government, and the instrumentalization of literature in the construction of a new identity in the process of coming from "tebaa" to the citizens. In the last part, the fact that Divan literature has started to be reevaluated with a new eye and a new breath is analyzed in parallel with the fact that some political, sociological, and artistic events both in the world and in Turkey have changed the perspective of literary critics and critics on literature in Turkey. There are traces of a process in which Divan literature was pushed out of the center with modernization and retreated to the center with the rapid weakening of the belief in modernization after the second world war.
