Abstract (EN)

The geography of Iraq is an ancient region with a long history. It has hosted various civilizations since ancient times. Baghdad, the most important city of Iraq, was described as the capital of science, literature, law and art in the Islamic era. During the Abbasid rule, some beys and tribes took shelter in neighboring countries and established new administrative regions. One of them is the El Badinan Emirate. This region remained under Ottoman rule for about five centuries. The region is centered in Imadiye and during the Ottoman period, it was included in the administrative division as the Imadiyye Government as a ocak sanjak. Our study titled "Imadiye Government in the 16th Century According to the Records of the Divan-ı Hümayun Mühimme" its main source is the provisions in the Mühimme books. A total of 51 Mühimme books were scanned and provisions related to İmadiyye were found in 42 of them. In these books covering the years 1555-1595, 219 provisions related to the political, social and military situation of the İmadiyye Government were identified and evaluated.
