Relati̇onshi̇p between blood glucose regulati̇on of di̇abeti̇c pati̇ents and dyadi̇c adjustment scales

Concepts like marital relationship, dyadic satisfaction, marital happines ve marital adjustment are subject for a lot of researches. Treatment consistency of chronic patients is related with relationship happines, adjustment and satisfaction. There are some researches on this subject. Our study is designed as observational analitic study with control group to evaluate diabetic patients blood glucose regulation and its relationship with these patients dyadic adjustment. A survey which is composed of socio-demographical characteristics Modified Moritsky Drug Using Scale and DyadicAdjustmentScale are applied. 129 (%47,7) Diabetic and 141 Non-diabetic (%52,3) in total 270 attenders participated in our study. İn participants women were majority n:163(%60,3) and most of them was university graduate.% (38,51). %27,4 percent of our participents had a chronically ill spouse. And %72.96 percent had known each other antenuptial. There wasnt a meaningfull difference among case and control groups in the matter of age, sex, education, having chronicaly ill spouse, antenuptial dating and having children.(p>0.05). When we evaluate the points which is taken in DAS scale between men and women there was a meaningfull difference (p<0.05). Among participents who had a chronically ill spouse had higher DAS scores(p<0.05). Antenuptial dating had also a possitive effect on the DAS scores. (p<0.05). Diabetic participants were aveluated according to their HbA1c levels. Who had higher DAS scores had also lower HbA1c and so better blood sugar regulation. (p<0.05). It's also very important for us to evaluate our patients inner family harmony. Because it has a great effect on their treatment compliance. It's important for primary care doctors to query life style changes and also patients inner family support status.
