Abstract (EN)

In this study, Bongardia Chrysogonum effect on kidneys is going to be researched with making diabetics nephropathy in the diabetics rat model by inducing streptozotosin (STZ). In the experiment, 40 adult Wistar Albino rats were used. Rats were classified as control group (K), B. chrysogonum, the given group (B), diabetic group (D) and diabetic treated with B. chrysogonum group (DB). STZ at 45 mg/kg was given to D and DB groups intravenously. One day later, the excretion of the rats was studied. When yellow strips were turned into green, over 300 mg/dl diabetics were accepted from the rats whose blood levels were measured by glukometers. For 5 weeks, daily prepared 3g B. chrysogonum infusion was given to B and DB groups via gavaj. They were wighted weekly. Blood glucose levels were measured by glukometers. At the end of the fifth week, Blood glucose levels of DB group considerably fell compared with that of D group. After than, the rats were anesthetized by ketamine (90mg/kg)+xylazine (3mg/kg) and their kidneys were extracted. In the result of pathogenic study, thickness of glomerul bazal membrane and mezengial cell increase within the kidneys of D group were observed. The kidneys of DB group rats were closer K group. These results were supported with Periodical acit Schiff (PAS) and reticular staining. At the result of this work, it had been observed that B. chrysogonum has decreased blood glucose level after diabetics and diminishing the available impairments in kidneys. It should be researched thoroughly whether B. chrysogonum could reorganize blood glucose levels in diabetics rats and how its effect is on the commonly sekonder impairments.
