Abstract (EN)
Basic elements of a society; it is the values, traditions and customs of society. These traditions and customs constitute the largest field of folk literature. A national self has been created as a result of maintaining traditions. For the continuity of the national self, of course, all the details must be passed on to the next generation. In this study, Diyarbakir folk medicine; objects, plants used in folk medicine were examined in terms of motifs. Information is given that the benefits of herbs used in folk medicine to the treatment can gain value in terms of modern medicine. Our aim is to examine the folk medicine of Diyarbakir, to address the motifs in treatments and to determine the place of these treatments in science.
