Özet (EN)
In this study; the aim of this study was to determine the morphological characteristics of native onion genotypes grown in Diyarbakir and to determine the genotypes in terms of yield and quality parameters. The research was carried out in 2010-2011 in Dicle University Faculty of Agriculture. The study used 25 local onion genotypes collected from the districts of Diyarbakır as material. The properties of the 25 materials were determined according to UPOV criteria. Observations and measurements were taken in seedlings, plants, fruits and seeds. Apart from these, different observations and measurements were adapted to UPOV criteria. As a result of the observations and measurements, there were significant differences between the genotypes in terms of most features. It has been observed that there may be hope types for breeding studies within genotypes. It is considered that these types are a breeding material as a suitable variety candidate for the region. It is thought that these types can be qualified as breeding material suitable for the region. Evaluating these materials and taking them as breeding programs as a candidate for varieties will be able to use as an onion variety to the local farmer in their own ecology. At the end of the study, G12, G13, G14 and G15 genotypes will be evaluated as onion cultivars suitable for the region
