Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to examine the effect of emotional eating behavior, coronavirus anxiety level and coronavirus phobia on the nutritional status of individuals aged 18-65 years who were referred to the diet clinic during the Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic period. Participants were administered a questionnaire form and the Coronavirus Phobia scale (C19P-S), the Dutch eating behavior questionnaire (DEBQ), and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAES). A total of 179 people, 143 women (79.9%) and 36 men (20.1%), were included in the study. According to the Body Mass Index (BMI) classification, 2.8% (n=5) were classified as normal, 22.3% (n=40) as slightly obese, 45.8% (n=82) as grade 1 obesity, 16.8% (n=30) as grade 2 obesity, and 12.3% (n=22) as grade 3 obesity. The mean age of the participants was calculated as 39.3±11.6 (min:18, max:65). It was determined that the number of meals of the participants changed by 44.1% during the COVID-19 period. It was determined that 50.3% (n=90) of the participants had COVID-19 and 49.7% (n=89) did not. While there was no change in the sense of taste in 35.6% (n=32) of individuals with COVID-19, 37.8% (n=34) had no taste at all, 26.6% (n=24) had no taste discrimination strain was observed. It was determined that the appetite did not change in 50.0% (n=45) of individuals who had COVID-19, while it increased in 38.9% (n=35) and decreased in 11.1% (n=10) in the changed group. While 50.8% (n=91) of the participants stated that their eating habits did not change during the COVID-19 period, 40.2% (n=72) changed unhealthy, 8.9% (n=16) healthy. stated that it has changed. The number of participants who stated that the number of meals changed during the COVID-19 period was 44.1% (n=79). 59.8% (n=107) of the participants stated that the frequency of packaged product consumption increased, 10.1% (n=18) decreased and 30.2% (n=54) stated that there was no change in consumption. It was determined that the weights of 68.2% (n=122) of the participants increased, 12.3% (n=22) decreased and 19.5% (n=35) did not change their weights. It was determined that the weight changes of the participants showed differences according to their gender (X 2=14.2, p=0.01). It was determined that the weight changes of the participants differed according to their education level (X 2=17.5, p=0.01). It was determined that the weight change levels did not differ according to marital status. (X 2=2.0 p=0.37). According to the DEBQ results applied to the participants, it was determined that the restricted eating sub-dimension differed according to weight changes (F=10.25, p=0.01).
