Abstract (EN)
51 SUMMARY The effect of diet aplication with and withhout margarine on plasma lipids, lipoproteins, membrane cholesterol and fatty acids were studied and the study took place between 30 margarine users and 30 non-margarine users. The mean value of plasma cholesterol in the margarine users was determined as 200.90+21.08 mg/dL, LDL cholesterol as 124.54+13.34 mg/dL, HDL cholesterol as 48.80+1 5. 26mg/dL, the value of triglyceride as 133.73 + 28.65 mg/dl, and the value of erythrocyte membrane as 1.29+0.07 mg/10^ cells. Pentanoic acid, heptanoic acid, nonanoic acid, tridecanoic acid, oleic acid, erucic acid, petroselinic acid fatty acids were obtained from erythrocyte membranes of the people with margarine. A considerable relation was found out between the plasma cholesterol of the margarine users and the values of LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglyceride. But no considerable relation was observed between the values of erythrocyte cholesterol and other lipid values. The mean plasma cholesterol in the people with non-margarine diet was determined as 182.56+ 26. 70mg/dL, LDL cholesterol as 104.37+ 18.04mgdL, HDL cholesterol as 56.73+9.85 mg/dL, the value of triglyceride as 102.37 ± 45.78 mg/dL, the value of erythrocyte membrane as 1.17+0.09 mg/1010 cells. Pentanoic acid, heptanoic acid, nonanoic acid, tridecanoic acid, pentadecanoic acid, heptadecanoic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, heneicosanoic acid, erucic acid, fatty acids were obtained from erythrocyte membranes of the non-margarine users. A meaningful relation was found out between the plasma cholesterol of the people with no margarine diyet and LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and the value of triglyceride. But no meaningful relation was observed between erythrocyte cholesterol values and other lipid values.52 A meaningful relation was found out between the plasma cholesterol of the people with no margarine diyet and LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and the value of triglyceride. But no meaningful relation was observed between erythrocyte cholesterol values and other lipid values. A meaningful difference among the plasma cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, the value of triglyceride and the value of erythrocyte margarine users and non- margarine was found out. The fact that the values of plasma lipids and, lipoprotein and erythrocyte membrane cholesterol increased in the margarine-using people and that the same values decreased in the people with no margarine diet showed that saturated, monounsaturated and poliunsaturated diets may effect the plasma lipid values and that a change between plasma and membrane may occur.
