Abstract (EN)
In automobiles? engines, characteristics like heating value, density, cetane number and viscosity of soybean oil and rapeseed methyl esters are close to diesel fuel values. It can be used as an alternative fuel recently without making any change due to it has an improving influence in point of view exhaust emissions. In this study, as an alternative fuel to the biodiesel, biodiesel fuels that are acquired from soybean oil and rapeseed oil methyl ester are used. Performance and emission variation of these alternative fuels are subjected to tests in a four cylinder diesel motor at three different hypodermic pressure (250, 300, 350 bar) and full load and variable engine speed. According to data that is obtained, in different hypodermic pressure, performance and emission alterations of each of these three fuels are acquired and compared with each other. When the pressure increased to 300 bar, the performance and emission values of soybean oil and rapeseed oil methyl ester were nearly the same with diesel fuels. But when increased to 350 bar, it effected the performance and emission of alternative fuel negatively. Because of easy producing of soybean oil and rapeseed oil methyl ester; having the same physical and chemical characteristics to diesel fuel and; with the improvements in engine performance and emission values, it is reached that it can be used as an alternative fuel after developing with new studies In experiments under 250 bar hypodermic pressure, the arrangement of fuels as their performance productivity is in this order: diesel, rapeseed and soybean oil methyl ester. But as their emission value, then, it changes as written: soybean, rapeseed oil methyl ester and diesel fuel.
