Ecological planning methods developed for sustainability of natural resources

ABSTRACTWith rapidly increasing population, growing technology and industry, the pressure of thehumankind over the ecosystems rises and that causes natural environment to get weakgradually and to lose its renewal power. In consideration of that, since about 1970, increasingsensitivity regarding about environment problems provided being developed of newapproaches and technical precautions in many areas. Besides, in planning area, ecologicalplanning was used widespreadly as a approach aiming at being utilized of natural environmentin the most beneficial way for current and next generation, at being protected of sourcesdepending on that, at being improved and at being provided of sustainability.Within the scope of thesis, to humankind for his or her health and living humanly, requiredenvironment was provided; while doing that the description of ecological planning (landscapeplanning) a tool of environment planning including protection of ecological balance and basicecological process was made and in historical process, development stages and methods wereexamined. Before passing ecological planning fact, with the way of introducing thecomponents of that fact wich are environment, ecology and ecosystem concepts, pressures inthe ecosystem and environment problems were exposed and ecological planning wassuggested as a solution.
