In this article, we have aimed to find out the appopriate materials for therepair of different bone defects. The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare the effects ofxenograft (Bio-Oss®, Geitslich Sons Ltd Wolhusen, Switzerland), and alloplastic bone graft materials(chronos®, Synthes ve Osteovit®, Braun) with growth factor on osteoblast.This study has gone one, two and four weeks over three main groups. All bone materialgroups have received several growth factors 100 ng/ml and 50 ng/ml, so that we built four groups. Weput 50 ng/ml from these two factors to one of the groups and to the non-grown control group, so wehave six groups. Once a week for ELISA and twice we collect the collagen extracts. After the first,second and fourth week we prepare the bone material for the rasterelectronicmicroscope.When we look at Bio-Oss then we see growing bone already on the first day. In the Osteovit,we see that the growing rate from osteoblasts is not fast, they grow step by step. If we look at chronos,we will see, that we have in the same time a very small growing rate of bone compared to the similargroups. In the middle, if we put in an average Bio-Oss 50 ng/ml rhBMP-7, Osteovit 100 ng/ml bFGF,chronos 50 ng/ml bFGF so we see growing of the cultures more then we expected.As a result, we believe that, the physical, osteoinductive, osteoconductive properties of graftmaterial should be considered, as well as the place and dimensions of the defect, to use the appropriategraft material.KeyWords: Bone carrier material, rhBMP-7, bFGFII
