Özet (EN)

This research, aim is to achieve the highest production quantity at the lowest cost, obtain maximum surface quality, and utilize diamond end mill tool life as efficiently as possible through the milling operation performed on marbles using electroplated diamond end mills. Poorly selected processing parameters can also cause economic losses such as deterioration of the processed material, poor surface quality, and premature wear of the end mills. Statistical analyses based on the "smaller-the-better" approach of Taguchi experimental design S/N ratio analysis were performed to find the most suitable processing parameters (for marble: cutting speed 188 m/min, feed rate 1500 mm/min; for dolomitic marble: cutting speed 226 m/min, feed rate 1500 mm/min). According to the determined parameters, the wear conditions of the diamond tips were detected during the milling of a 1 m2 area. The selection of optimum processing parameters is an important factor in ensuring the most efficient use of the electroplated diamond end mills and in achieving cost-effectiveness.
