Özet (EN)

Rapid progress of the manufacturing industry, formation of materials with special properties and importance of economical factors reveal the necessity of linear friction welding. Linear friction welding generally preferred in aviation and aerospace industries especially for reducing cost, extending the service life of materials working in hot environments, lightening engine weights etc. The basis of this method is the process of combining a fixed part and a linear oscillating part with the effect of frequency and pressure by creating frictional heat. The method which is a solid state welding leads to high welding structure in metal and alloy materials. It can be applied in different combinations such as titanium, titanium alloys, superalloys, steel, aluminum, nickel and copper. Space, ship, aircraft, automotive, defense industry and so on. Ti-6Al-4V alloy working under high temperature in industry, In order to predict the mechanical behavior of the material as a result of welding, it was analyzed in ANSYS environment by combining with linear friction welding method. This study demonstrates the necessity of linear friction welding method in order to provide lower cost and less raw material savings for the parts combined with titanium alloys. In this study, the finite element method and Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy pair linear friction welding method with pressure, combustion rate, friction rate, frequency and heat flow parameters to be formed by combining temperature, residual stress, total deformation are investigated. Transient thermal and Static Structural analyzes showed that welding parameters were applied to Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy and the temperature of the material passed the glass transition temperature and total deformations were observed to be minimal. The results of the simulation were also statistically evaluated using the variance analysis (ANOVA) method. Keywords: Linear Friction Welding, Ti-6Al-4V, Finite Elements Method
