Traditions of Dead Burials in Calcolithic Age in the Eastern andSoutheastern Anatolia

Having the information about death and the awareness of ultimate demise are the most important characteristics of human beings. Death is both an experince which all of the living things will eventually face and probably the only phenomenon that is equal for everyone. Maybe, that's why the phenomenon of death which is considered as an extinction, a disappearance and a final has always been a source of curiosity throughout the milleniums. Even though the rituals for the dead ones show some differences throughout the history, they are basically comprised of the feeling for the fact that the dead ones won't be able to be seen again. The music that is played, the prayer that is told to the god, the ceromony that is prepared are realized in different forms to fulfill the last duty for the dead. The societies which believe an afterlife have accompanied the dead with different kinds of rituals to support the rest of the relatives, have diversified these ceremonies also have ensured the existence of these ceremonies till today. The differences in the burial types and the variations of the types of the graves are the evidence of the fact that human beings have paid attention to the death and afterlife significantly,in every age.
