Abstract (EN)
In this study, 40 fisherwomen from Eynesil District of Giresun, between Pazar District of Rize Province were interviewed by applying a questionnaire. Starting from February 2017, socio-economic profile of fishermen including June 2018 was examined. As a result of the study, it was found that female fishermen in the Eastern Kardeniz are above the middle age (between 41 and 55 years of age) similar to those in other regions of our country, 90% are evil and help their spouses in fishing. When the educational status of female fishermen was examined, it was found that 61,9% were primary school graduates and this rate was higher than other regions. It has been revealed that the majority of female fishermen have social security and do not have any different activities that bring non-fishing income.
