Abstract (EN)
This study concerns with brachiopod fauna of the Devonian-Carboniferous transition around Naltaş and Himmetli villages (Saimbeyli-Adana) in the Eastern Taurides. By the stratigraphic, paleogeographic and paleontologic purposes, three stratigraphic sections were measured and sampled. Brachiopod specimens obtained from 141 rock samples are identified and described. The boundary between Devonian-Carboniferous is determined basing on their stratigraphic distribution. 31 genera and 36 species of brachiopoda are identified, systematically described and photographed. 7 new species belonging to the genera Schizophoria, Leptagonia, Whidbornella, Araratella, Mesoplica, Cleiothyridina and Eobrachythyris are described. Key Words : Brachiopoda, Taurus, D-C transition, Devonian and Carboniferous. II
