Özet (EN)
This study was designed to determine the factors affecting breast milk decrease and/or insufficiency in the first twenty-four hours and to guide in education and follow-up with Nomogram. Women between the ages of 15-49 who applied to the Gynecology and Pediatrics additional building of Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital in the one year between June 2019 and June 2020 were included in the study. Patients with reduced breast milk and/or insufficiency were evaluated as a result of our clinical prediction model in our current study. Candidate predictors were determined as the mother's weight, the mode of delivery, the collapse of the nipple, the initial induction for delivery, the baby to the mother's given lap after delivery (skin to skin contact) and the 5th-minute Apgar score of the baby. Three candidate predictors were strongly associated with the result of breast milk decrease and/or insufficiency. These were the collapse of the nipple [OR: 2.6 (1.06-6.4)], not to be the baby to the mother's give lap after delivery (skin to skin contact) [OR: 6.5 (3.1-13.2) and 5th-minute Apgar score of the baby [OR: 2.37 (1.1-5.07)] was the presence. As a result, we can predict patients with breast milk decrease and/or insufficiency in the first twenty-four hours after delivery by looking at the basic parameters such as the nipple collapse, not to be touch skin-skin after delivery and low baby 5th minute Apgar score, cesarean delivery and no induction for delivery. Nomograms drawn in predicting breast milk decrease and/or insufficiency will guide postpartum health workers in the clinic.
