Özet (EN)

Aim: Congenital heart anomalies are the most common congenital anomalies. Its frequency in newborn babies is 5-10 per 1000 live births. Two problems frequently encountered in the follow-up of these individuals are growth and development limitation and neurodevelopmental retardation. The two most common problems observed in the follow-up of these individuals are growth-development limitations and neurodevelopmental retardation. This thesis aims to examine the effects of congenital heart anomalies on the growth of the fetus based on the data in our clinic. Material and Method: The results of pregnancies that were examined with ultrasound monitoring in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Cukurova University between October 24, 2014 and May 01, 2018 were evaluated by retrospective cohort study. Result: 53 fetuses diagnosed with congenital heart anomaly study group of in the second trimester gestational week and 72 control group patients, and 72 fetuses diagnosed with congenital heart anomaly in the third-trimester gestational week and 58 control groups were included in this study. When the parameters are investigated for neurological development in the second trimester pregnancy week, the Sylvius area is smaller than the control group, and due to the small Sylvius area, the head circumference to the Sylvius area and the aortic valve diameter to Sylvius area rates were found larger. Aortic valve diameter / Sylvius area ratio was found to be greater in patients with normal aortic flow and third trimester patients with two functional ventricles compared to other patient groups. These rates reveal the effect of congenital heart anomalies on the development of the cortex. Conclusion: The effect of congenital cardiac anomalies on growth and development, especially in congenital heart anomalies originating from left cardiac dysfunction, begins in the prenatal period and is a complex health problem that is also affected by preoperative, perioperative and postoperative changes and risk factors.
