Abstract (EN)
Tomato and cucumber are one of the most produced and consumed fresh vegetables in our country. Fusaium species both for tomato and cucumber have an important place in the most destructive diseases for Turkey and also the other countries. Seed treatments have become important during recent years to protect plants against Fusarium diseases known as seed pathogen. In this study, disinfection success of the alternative applications on infected tomato and cucumber seeds by Fusarium oxysporum were searched considering seed performance. Various dosage and durations of ozone gas and ozonated water were chosen as alternative applications. The success of alternative practices was compared with diluted acid (HCl) and a fungicide contains Fludioxonil + Metalaxyl-M. The success of disinfection of all variants was determined by applying the tests recommended by ISTA standards. And also the plants obtained by the seeds mentioned were monitored and assessed in point of practicability in nursery and greenhouse conditions.
