Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to determine the relationships between high nutrient content and quality characteristics of tomato genotypes identified as drought resistant in previous projects. For this purpose, 10 drought resistant tomato genotypes and 2 witness varieties were used in field and laboratory studies which lasted for two years. Plants used in this thesis were exposed to control and drought applications during 2017 and 2018 spring-summer periods. In drought stress, β-carotene, total sugar, L-ascorbic acid, phenol, fruit Ca content, fruit K and fruit dry matter increased by 9.5%, 31.77%, 65.31%, 27%, 13.64%, 23.46% and 12.48% in tolerant genotypes compared to the witness cultivars respectively. A positive correlation was found between L-ascorbic acid and fruit MDA, pH and phenol. There was a positive correlation between leaf stomatal conductivity and fruit volume. There was a positive correlation between membrane damage index and phenol. There was a high positive correlation between fruit weight, fruit volume, plant fresh weight and leaf osmotic potential. There was a high negative correlation between leaf water potential and plant dry weight and brix. High negative correlation was found between leaf malondialdehit (MDA) and brix, plant dry weight, fruit süperoksit dismutaz (SOD) and leaf water potential. There was a negative correlation between leaf stomatal conductivity and fruit dry weight.
