Abstract (EN)
According to its original usage, the term "reinforced soil" refers to a soil which is strengthened by a material able to resist tensile stresses and it interacts with the soil through friction or adhesion. Subsequently, the meaning of soil reinforcement was broadened, and this terms is now also used for other mechanical and structural methods of soil improvement, such as compressive reinforcement and reinforcement by confinement and encapsulation. In this study, some experiments in reinforced soils given in the literature by some researchers are discussed. A programme code has been developed in qbasic to solve problems about reinforced soils. Some of the reinforced soil problems have been solved by using qbasic and plaxis programs.Key words: Reinforced-soil, Cohezion, Reinforcement, Friction, Adhesion.
