Abstract (EN)
In this thesis impinging jet flow onto a rotating disc problem and to understand this floweasier laminar flow near a rotating disc without jet and impinging jet flow onto a stationarydisc problems were examined numerically.Three different problems were solved by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) packetprogram FLUENT 6.2.16 which is using finite volume method, after their solution areas andmeshes designed in GAMB.T 2.2.30 program. Basics of CFD analysis were emphasized andnumerical solution methods used by software were explained. Heat transfer and flow fieldresults are discussed in terms of the velocity magnitude, Reynolds stresses and Nusseltnumber. Finally numerical results obtained by different turbulent models were processed by MATLABand compared by graphics with previous studies and experimental datas in literature.According to the comparison with graphics very close results showed that the choice of themodels, methods and algorithms which were used in CFD computations were appropriate. Keywords: Impinging jets, Rotating disc, Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
