The effects of circular economy on sustainable growth

In the linear economic model, natural resources are obtained, products are manufactured, used, and then discarded as waste, following a "take-make-dispose" logic. In the circular economic model, on the other hand, resources are recycled within the framework of waste management in order to be used again. Products are designed to be reusable at the end of their lifecycle. Therefore, in the circular economic model, even though resources have been turned into products, the aim is to keep them in circulation continuously. In a linear economic model, it is very difficult to recycle products and their lifespan usually ends with them becoming waste. In contrast, in a circular economic model there is very little final waste left after recycling processes and complete disposal of any remaining waste is targeted. This allows for products to be reused. In a linear economy model, products are generally disposable or short-lived. In a circular economy however, products are designed to be durable and repairable with consideration for eventual recycling at the end of their lifespan. The system in a linear economic model results in high environmental damage through direct consumption of resources leading to unsustainability while activities under a green economy framework aim not to harm the environment. It becomes clear that a circular economic model has sustainable and environmentally friendly characteristics compared with its linear counterpart which relies on resource consumption for growth and increased production. Countries adopting the circular economy seek efficient resource utilization with an aim towards zero waste by reducing waste over time sustainably using environmental resources. The circular economy is associated with green economics as it primarily focuses on ensuring efficient use of resources while preventing environmental harm during economic activities and production stages aiming for natural resources inheritance for future generations. In this study, we are addressing the impact of the circular economy framework that we have outlined on sustainable growth. Ensuring the sustainability of economic growth means prioritizing environmental protection in the country and reaching the targeted level of welfare, based on the principle of sustaining this level for the coming years. Sustainability in economic growth is planned through productivity and minimal and planned use of natural resources, leaving behind a legacy for future generations. Sustainable growth serves as a guarantee for future generations while reducing carbon emissions to ensure environmental sustainability. For sustainable economic growth, opportunities need to be provided for innovations, innovation and technological advancements. All executive institutions and organizations in sustainable growth must prepare regulations that meet the requirements of a circular economy model in order to increase the country's welfare level and sustain it over time. This model has ceased to be a choice; it has become an obligation because indeed, our world is on the brink of an environmental crisis. In consideration of future generations, it is imperative to aim towards achieving zero waste management to secure sustainable growth. This transformation will also prevent waste, reduce costs, protect the environment and pave way for a healthy life.
