Özet (EN)

In this thesis study, a four legged robot has been designed, which has 14 degrees of freedom. In the design, with the help of sensors that is placed on the moving head, the important functionalities have been redounded to the robot. Nowadays, four legged robot studies have been performed, by being imitated the motion and behavior properties of animals such as horse, dog and cat. In this thesis study, with the alcohol gas sensor, which was placed on the head of the designed robot, by being brought a dog's sense of smell into the forefront, infrastructure of robot dog applications that would be useful at narcotic has been studied to be constituted. Each leg was analyzed, by being used Denavit-Hartenberg method, with mathematical connections between joint coordinates and endpoint coordinate and, forward and inverse kinematic transformations. By being considered, the specified joint parameters, the dynamic analysis has been realized with differential equations which are attained mathematically. In order to perform the requested motion, by being made from point to point trajectory analysis, the obtained reference joint angles have been tried to catch by means of the developed PID controller. In order to show the achievement of the catching ability the reference points of PID controller that is applied to the obtained dynamic equations, the simulations have been performed in MATLAB packaged software. System answers were presented in figures and the results were examined. Keywords: 4-legged robot, alcohol gas sensor, dynamic analysis, PID controller.
