Abstract (EN)
This study is about an industrial robot arm design which have four axis and capable of carrying 30kg for packaging operations. The robot arm is designed to maintain its rigidity while reaching the foreseen speed and acceleration values. For this purpose, the material selection is made carefully by taking into account other critical facts such as endurance, weight, sensitivity and cost. For the arm?s construction material, the aluminum alloy AA 7075 T6 type is selected. This material has a high level of corrosion resistance with high stress limits which leads to a wide selection for the aviation industry to prevent ?Metal fatigue? situations. It?s strength/weight ratio is higher than other typical materials and easy to handle during production process. For achieving the accurate positioning of the robot arm, cycloid planetary gear reducers and servo motors with higher resolution are used together with a hydraulic weight stabilization system for helping to reduce the stress on both the reducers and the servos.
