Abstract (EN)

There are many industrial furniture production facilities in Turkey. Facilities are built according to the product range. In addition, architecture of these facilities cover product savings, risk factors, personnel satisfaction, customer satisfaction and environmental protection. With this study, all these subjects were examined in detail and in this thesis, it was aimed to create an architectural literature resource on the requirements and installation of upholstered furniture production facilities. In this study, the architectural design requirements of the furniture production facilitiesespecially those facilities that produce upholstered furniture products are discussed with today's understanding and Mondi furnitureproduction facilities are examined as an example. By examining the factors such as the regulations affecting the design of the facility, the style of the goods, the production flow chart, the factors that will affect the health and safety of the work, the machinery and materials to be used, the total workforce structure of the employees, and the installation,all the effects of these factors on the design have been revealed. As a result, maximum performance and the production of a large number of furniture are aimed at using as little of everything as possible in upholstered production facilities. With the study, it was concluded that architectural planning should be created in a way that can serve this purpose. The importance of architectural design and the necessity of coordinated planning at every point of the facility have been seen.
