Abstract (EN)

Usages of porous polymeric materials as a sorbent have been become prevalent, because it is enable to recuperate or to reduce pollution into desired limits. In this study, with the intention of removing the pollutants and recuperating the wastes which are swayed after the industrial production and processes from the environment; highly porous, cross-linked and unsaturated polyester based polymeric materials will be produced by using HIPE (Hıgh Internal Phase Emulsion) method. These materials called PolyHIPE; properties determined due to changing preparation conditions (surfactant type and concentration, stirring rate, stirring time, interior phase volume, initiatior type and concentration, monomer concentration). Synthesized highly porous and crosslinked copolymer?s characterization has done by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) photographs and gravity measurements. The crosslinked and porous unsaturated polyester-styren (Pes-St) materials which are synthesized by HIPE method used for absorption of organic liquids and petroleum wastes and their absorption capacities will be exhibited.
